Other skills

In 2009, I’ve tested more than 1000 candidates to the role of PHP programmer for the customer from Canada. I’ve made a questionnaire and scored their answers. In a month or so we have formed a strong team.

Publications

I wrote only one well-known article in the IT field. It is “Programming as the best creative specialty”, it was published at some sites as well as quoted in one book about the management in IT “Software team management” (http://www.happy-pm.com/sw_team_management.pdf). The article is under my pen-name though.

Personal info

I live in Novosibirsk, Russia. I am married. I am an Orthodox Christian. My hobbies besides IT are literature, music and languages.

Additionally I can tell a little bit about my working environment and other preferences. My favorite operating system is GNU/Linux (now I’m using Ubuntu 9.04). I dislike mouse-oriented UIs and prefer console and zsh. I’m using Gnome desktop environment. I am fond of IRC, the client is online almost anytime (I prefer #xml channel at irc.freenode.net). Sometimes I’m blogging (the blog is in Russian).

Unlike a lot of programmers, I don’t want to be a manager in the future. Position of the lead developer looks more acceptable to me.
